Healthcare is the maintaining and improving the health of an individual. A good healthcare is really preventing, diagnosing, and treating the disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in human beings.
Healthcare is achieved through health professionals (providers or practitioners) in health and allied professions like physicians, physician associates, dentistry, midwifery, nursing, medicine, optometry, audiology, pharmacy, psychology, and other health professions.
It also includes providers of diagnostic, preventive, remedial, and therapeutic services such as doctors, nurses, hospitals and other private, public, and voluntary organizations. Added to this are the medical equipment and pharmaceutical manufacturers and health insurance firms.
Healthcare includes providing primary healthcare, secondary care, and tertiary care, as well as public health.
Healthcare is an important determinant for promoting the physical and mental health and well-being of people.
Health and well-being are the most important elements for the longevity of humans.
Need for maintaining and improving the health is demonstrated by carrying out routine health check up of all school children at the beginning of every academic year. Medical report of each child is even prepared and given to them for their personal records.
Medical Examination and diagnostic tests are also done for all school children regularly. Medicines as per the doctor's advice are distributed free of cost to the needy children.
